YCL cadres today obstructed traffic in Gaighat bazaar for 2 hours demanding action against Armed Police Force

(APF) personnel who thrashed their tipsy members yesterday.

A team of police beat up Sandip Paudel, 11, Pradip Paudel, 19, Ranjit Paudel, 16, Kaji Bhujel, 19, Surya Bahadur Basnet, 22 and Milan Limbu who were drinking alcohol and making noise at a shop in front of the APF camp in Ratmate of Triyuga municipality-17 yesterday night.

Among the injured, critically hurt Limbu has

been taken to the BP Koirala Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The Maoist in the district said that all the beaten persons are its cadres, declining to accept their mistake. However, DSP Bikash Ghimire said that the policemen have not committed any mistakes. The local administration said attempt to settle the case is underway.
