YF, YCL clash in Darchula, Lamjung

Mahendranagar, March 10:

Cadres of UML-affiliated Youth Force (YF) and Young Communist League (YCL) affiliated with the Unified CPN-Maoist clashed in Darchula district headquarters, Khalanga, this morning.

The clash ensued after vandalism in UML’s party office. Maoist activist Dharmananda Joshi sustained serious injuries in the clash. Joshi has got his right hand fractured.

Earlier, they YF cadres nabbed Maoist activists Mahendra Bista and Khadka Singh on the charge of vandalising at UML’s party office and handed them over to the police. Darchula unit of the YF said the duo was arrested red-handed while they were pelting stones at the office.

Meanwhile, a group led by YCL cadres Pramod and Nabin attacked on YF activists at Triveni Tole in Beshisahar, Lamjung, during Holi celebration. YF vice-president Govinda Basnet, among others, were injured in the attack.

Likewise, the Youth Force activists attacked Nepal Teacher’s Organisation vice-president Hari Danai, All Nepal Trade Union President Shambhu Shrestha, and journalists Basu Thapa and Nabinraj Kuinkel in Besisahar. They are undergoing treatment in Lamjung Community Hospital.
