BARA, MAY 23
Police today made public a person arrested on the charge of killing two minor boys from Rangapur of Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City. The arrested has been identified as Abdul Rahim Miya's son Farmullaha Ansari, 25.
The bodies of local Abdul Gafar's sons Ushman, 9, and Amin Ansari, 7, were found on the premises of the local madarsa last Tuesday. The minor boys were strangulated. The deceased had ventured out of their home to play on Monday evening.
Organising a press meet on the premises of Bara District Police Office today, Deputy Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra made the accused culprit public.
The father of the deceased siblings has been working in Qatar for the past three years.
Police investigation shows that Gafar's wife and Ansari had an illicit affair, the boys came to know about the affair and were planning to tell their father. Ansari had asked Gafar's wife to go to India and live there, but she refused.
"Ansari admitted to the police that he had killed the two boys as they were the main obstacles to getting Gafar's wife to leave for India," said DSP Mishra.
Police investigation shows that Ansari and the deceaseds' mother had some monetary disputes as well and the woman was trying to distance herself from the man, of late. Ansari seems to have killed the two brothers to seek revenge on the woman.
