KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday arrested a youth on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl from Satyawoti Rural Municipality-8 of Gulmi district.

The arrestee has been identified as local Keshav Pun (17).

After a report was filed accusing Pun of raping the girl on June 28, a joint team of police immediately deployed from Johang Area Police Office and Chandrakot Area Police Office arrested him.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
