DAMAULI: A youth travelling on a tractor was killed as he fell on the road and came under the moving wheel, in Byas Municipality-13 of Tanahun district, on Friday evening.

Tanahun District Police Office has identified the deceased as Surya Nepali (20), the resident of Phoksing area of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-5 in Gulmi district.

According to Spokesperson at the DPO, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyamu Aryal, the youth who was travelling on a tractor (Ga 1 Ta 4671) heading towards Damauli from Kohdim along the Buddhasingha Marga, suddenly fell on the road and came under the moving wheel. Nepali died on the spot at Belbas, at around 8:00 pm yesterday, informed police.

The body of the deceased has been kept at Damauli Hospital for the postmortem, police said.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the tractor and its driver Sujan Ale (21) of Myagde Rural Municipality-2 in Tanahun.
