DAMAULI: A youth died after he fell off the tractor he was travelling on in Byas Municipality-10 of Tanahun district on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as local Hira Bahadur Nepali (20).

The incident occurred when Nepali fell off the tractor (Ga 1 Ta 2070) near Dumsi at around 9:00 pm yesterday, critically injuring him, according to the District Police Office, Tanahun.

Nepali succumbed to his injuries on the way to a medical facility in Pokhara, informed police.

The body has been kept at Damauli Hospital for postmortem, said police.

Meanwhile, police has detained tractor driver Bishal Pariya (30) of Baireni in Byas Municipality-10 for further investigation.
