Youth vanishes from TIA
PHIDIM: A youth who had arrived in Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) from Qatar has been missing for the last four days. Hemraj Dhungana, 23, of Phidim-7, Arkhaule, went missing after he landed in TIA in June 15. Aitaraj Limbu of Kerabari Morang had come along with Dhungana on the same flight from Qatar.
Limbu informed that they had landed in TIA at around 10.30 am on June 15. "We decided to manage our lodging on our own and bade farewell to each other promising to keep in touch," said Limbu. He informed that Dhungana had some cash and a suitcase. Limbu suspects involvement of some criminal gang in Dhungana's disappearance saying that they might have kidnapped him for ransom.
Hemraj's father Pushpa Dhungana said that his son had left his home town for Qatar about a year ago for better job opportunities. "But his company sent him home after he was infected with jaundice while he was there," he said. He informed that Hemraj had called from Qatar saying that he would arrive home on June 17. He further said that his family only came to know of his son's disappearance after they called Limbu when Hemraj had not arrived even after the 17th.
The family members are in shock after they came to know about the bad news. Dhungana's family has urged journalists and human rights activists for the safe return of their son. They have also filed a case in the District Police Office Panchthar to search the whereabouts of Hemraj.
