Busy leaders put off HLPM
KATHMANDU: The meeting of the High-Level Political Mechanism which was scheduled to be held at the Parliamentary Party office of the main opposition party UCPN-Maoist was put off in Singha Durbar on Sunday. The reason cited for the postponement is reportedly due to the busy schedules of the party leaders.
The meeting was expected to mull on the contentious political issues to resolve the political turmoil and the formation of the State Restructuring Commission (SRC).
The earlier meeting on Friday ended inconclusively over differences between the Maoists and the government allies Nepali Congress and CPN-UML on the NC-UML proposal on the SRC formation.
