SC issues stay order on MRPs case

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) issued a stay order on Wednesday for five days on the Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) to the government from making its decision effective.

After the preliminary hearing on the MRPs case filed by advocate Hem Mani Subedi and Nara Bahadur KC seeking the apex court’s intervention into the matter, a single bench of Justice Sushil Karki ordered the government to come for a discussion in the further hearing on April 12.
