Singapore- Nepal flights to be hiked to 28 per week
SINGAPORE: Singapore on Tuesday signed a new air services agreement with Nepal, on the sidelines of the Singapore Airshow.
The pact will allow air carriers of both countries to operate 28 weekly passenger services and 14 weekly cargo services.
Choi Shing Kwok, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport, signed the agreement with his Nepalese counterpart Nagendra Prasad Ghimire, Secretary for Nepal's Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
Choi said, 'The Singapore-Nepal aviation market has experienced strong traffic growth over the past few years. The bilateral Air Services Agreement signed today comes at an opportune time as it serves to further develop air transport between both countries and pave the way for traffic growth ahead.'
Singapore's SilkAir currently operates six weekly passenger services between Singapore and Kathmandu.
