Dating with disaster
Tough dear earthquake is trying desperately to get into a long-term relationship with us, we at Kathmandu are, in despair, trying to break up and get back to the normal mode. First of all, we never wanted to date the disaster. Who does? However, we knew it was inevitable. Anyone in their mid twenties and living in this part of the world will understand when the phrase ‘marriageable age’ comes.
Even we did. After all, we are between Eurasian and Tibetan plates, been waiting to ‘come of age’ since last 80-90 years. However, we had thought that it would be like one of those ‘arranged match’ where we could say ‘it’s not working’ to our parents once we meet the other side.
But no, the plates are adamant in making this match work and dear earthquake is desperate to get into a relationship that lasts a little longer perhaps. I could make a movie out of this tragic love story between us. — snehakoirala.wordpress.com
