Both should step down
The call for party unity by Nepali Congress (NC) president has been described as yet another foul game that the senior leader has been playing so far. Particularly the NC (D) president seems to be in no mood to accept the call as a fair move. In such a situation where there is crisis of faith and mutual trust among the top leaders, the dream of party unity is sure to remain futile.
So, if the leaders are taking the party split as one of the most unfortunate events in the history of NC and are really serious about solving this problem, it would be better for both Koirala and Deuba to resign from their respective posts. The NC cannot accommodate two stubborn leaders in a single post at the same time. So, the time has come for the two leaders to show magnanimity for the sake of the party.

Ban bandhs
It is a good idea to ban protests in the valley because it has brought a lot of chaos in the life of the people here. However, according to the news on March 20, the ban has been imposed only on “selective areas.” This is wrong on the part of the District Administration. In the name of security for the people, many of us have suffered enough and it is the commoners who suffer during Nepal bandhs, rallies, Valley bandhs, chakka jams and the rest.

Perplexing
Denial of travelling documents to Tek Nath Rizal brings out an important question — is Nepal really interested in solving the Bhutanese refugee problem? It is beyond anyone’s interpretation as to what could be the real motive behind the government’s delay in policies and passing of the buck.

Add a page
I have been reading THT for a year now. Its quality can be compared to any international daily. The design, print quality and news contents are especially good. I would like to suggest that on the coming Nepali New Year, Baisakh 1, you should add one more page to cover extra political, sports, technology and travel related news.

A mess
It seems that people in Kathmandu will have to continue facing water crisis for a long time. Only talks on Melamchi drinking water project will not bring positive results. Once it was a hot news that when Melamchi comes there will be water not only for drinking but also for washing roads. All those associated with this project should not let it slip away as if Nepal desperately needs such a project. I request the donors to put this project on the run immediately.

Help students
I am a regular reader of your newspaper. It is good to read a quality newspaper at such a reasonable price. It helps us in keeping ourselves up-to-date with current affairs. Moreover, I like the features section which provides wide range of knowledge. However, you should also provide some space for information about career help line to help people to choose right careers. This is extremely helpful for the students. Being a student myself, I think one should start thinking about one’s career right after passing SLC exam. Choosing a career without proper guidance could ruin a person’s future. It is rightly said “time lost, cannot be regained.
