Louvre Hotels Group has expanded its South Asia portfolio with the launch of Nepal's first Royal Tulip hotel in Kathmandu.

Located in Gwarko, Lalitpur, Royal Tulip Kathmandu is set to be the country's largest hotel and the capital's premier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination, according to the press release issued by the group.

Developed by The Massif Hotel Pvt. Ltd. and managed by Sarovar Hotels, the 308-room property introduces the internationally acclaimed Royal Tulip brand to Nepal. Strategically situated on Ring Road, just 3.5 km from Tribhuvan International Airport, the hotel is designed for both business and leisure travellers, the release further stated.

Royal Tulip Kathmandu boasts over 30,000 sq. ft. of event space, including two 11,000 sq. ft. banquet halls, six meeting rooms, breakout areas, and a boardroom. The property also features dedicated parking for up to 600 vehicles, catering to large-scale conferences, exhibitions, weddings, and diplomatic events.

The hotel opens with 104 operational rooms and two food and beverage outlets-Lalitpur Café, an all-day dining restaurant, and The Alpine Lounge & Bar, offering cocktails and live music in a refined setting.
