The three responsible
After immense pressure from peers (influential and at times it’s positive), overwhelming response from the crowd (viewers) and acute promotion through the media I was lured to get into the theater after decades to witness the blockbuster ‘Three Idiots’. I was curious, and filled with thrill for the much awaited show made more popular globally by the social networking sites like facebook, hi5, orkut, flixster and the rest.
I never enjoy sitting in front of
the big screen for three long hours as
it has been already replaced by
screens at homes. However, you are enticed to it when there is something enigmatic/charismatic.
I had to wait long to quench
my thirst as the evening show was
full, and the night show was three and a half hours later. I am neither a movie-maniac nor a regular viewer, but sometimes it is a pastime if the story is interweaved with reality and social happenings.
You may call me an idiot too if I miss this opportunity to reminiscence the name of the prominent film actor/director like Aamir Khan who is always in search of new concepts, ideas and scripts. I was influenced by his prior films based on reality and creativity. He is at all times after well-off stories which transmit lessons and messages to the entire mass/society.
Good films inspire people in a positive way and motivate them. On the contrary, as soon as the show was over, I immediately recalled the three responsible of our country who are the supremos of three major political parties that have to do with the major task of drafting the constitution and take the peace process to a logical end, but in vain. They are never against eliminating poverty, ending the impunity and for the closure of strikes and bandhs. They are incongruous in completing their tasks and indisposed in shaping themselves though they are the ones who are responsible for the present political instability, and they will be responsible for the deplorable condition of the country if it persists.
The colossal scarcity of each and every indispensable daily commodity has made life wretched and come to a standstill. Regardless of being one of the richest in water resources we are lucky enough to enjoy a candle-lit dinner every day which the Westerners lust for. It’s time to act not to refrain and time to amass not to lose.
