Time’s important, but wouldn’t mind flow of cash too
It may sound weird but I am choosing money instead of time. To some extent I agree that time is very precious but time without money is like fish without water. In today’s context we need money in every step of our lives for different purposes like food, clothes, shelter. Without money we can’t go shopping, eat in restaurants and so on. I can’t imagine my life without money. So, I prefer a shorter time with more money where I would like to have fun with that money, spend it all in whatever time I have got and die smiling remembering those funfilled days with money.
— Ansh Shrestha
n Time and money both are really important. If you have time, especially ‘the right time’, then you can earn as much money as possible. All of us know this. But most of us don’t know that money can buy us time. Suppose you are walking from Sahid Gate to Kalanki, and then it might take you an hour to reach Kalanki Chowk. But if you take a bus or a micro-van paying some money then
you will save half an hour which means you have bought half an hour time for about Rs 10. So, it depends upon the situation and also upon our thinking.
— Niranjan Udas
n If I face a situation where I could choose only one between time and money, I would choose money. If we see around the world everyone is running behind money. If we can have money we can do things for our own betterment, which is not possible only with time. As
it is impossible to survive without money in this world, money is very important. However, we should not neglect time and give equal importance to both things — time and money.
— Rajesh KC
n Wealth is lost then nothing is lost, if time is lost then everything is lost. I would definitely give more importance to time if I had to choose between time and money. Time is so powerful that even all the riches of the world cannot afford to buy it. Money can always be regained if we loose it but it is impossible to regain time. Time never waits or comes back for anyone.
— Abhilasha Rayamajhi
n Of course, I would prefer time to money. Time is precious. Once it goes we cannot hold it back. Time and tide wait for none, so if we miss time we can never recover it but money can be earned again. All the good deeds we do in time have great significance. Time is inevitable and unstoppable. Time is incomparable to money. The right use of time makes our life meaningful and we can earn money too. Time is a celestial and divine thing for us as a particular point of time comes only once. The great figures in the world have reached such heights because they knew how to use time wisely.
— Khem Regmi, Pathari, Morang
n There is no doubt that it is indeed a difficult task to choose either time or money. Both of them play a huge role in the development of human beings since time immemorial. But I would certainly choose time if I had to choose between one of them. Time once lost cannot be retrieved. It is just like a river that has its own pace and human beings don’t have control over it. If we can manage our time and utilise it properly, it is sure that money will follow us. Those personas utilising their time in the best way have gained name and fame in the world.
— Rajkumar Ranabhat
n Time and money are wonderful treasures gifted by god. They both have capacity to change attitude, behaviours and living standard of human beings. But I would prefer to choose time rather than money. Time never waits for anyone and it moves on continuously. Every living creature has a certain time to live. There are many chances for human beings to earn money during their lifetime. Thus earning money is not so important. Money comes and goes but time never waits. Time can buy money but money cannot buy time.
— Rojesh Shrestha
n Time and money surely are the most valuable things in our lives. Neither can we run our daily lives nor is any development possible if we ignore the importance of time. Time is also a strong factor of our life as everything depends on time. In my opinion, time is comparatively stronger than money in the sense that time controls money. People can earn money anytime if the situation and time is right. But, time, once gone, will not return again. Once we lose money while gambling, we may win next time. But,
once we lose time, we can never get it back again. Our childhood will never come back in our life but we can earn lots of money at any age of our life.
— Gopal Khanal,
Panipokhari
n Time and money are two sides of a coin. One is incomplete without the other. But if I have to choose one, I would definitely choose time. When we do the right thing at the right time then we can be successful in anything. You can probably waste huge amount of money on everything you like, but if someone is dying and is not taken to hospital on time then they will surely die, money will not be able to save him. People can’t buy everything with money. Time is more important than money.
— Anjum Rajbhandari
n I would definitely choose time as a popular proverb states ‘time and tide waits for no one’. It is time we all are running after. Time decides, what we are going to be in future, and it is time that brings fame and money for us. Everything if done in time, leads us to prosperity. It is time that decides the destiny of any person. Time is very powerful. Time has power to destroy or take a nation towards prosperity. If we are able to solve the problems existing in our country in time, then surely our nation will prosper.
— Novo Lama, Pokhara
n Though ‘time and money’ are equally important and precious, I would prefer time to money because time plays more important role in our life than money. If we do everything in time we are able to achieve what we want in our life. We can achieve glory and money if we are able to accomplish tasks at the right time. But money makes us lazy, lures us towards a comfortable and easy life only. If we do no care about time, we will not be able to move ahead with time and will be left far behind in our life.
— Mohan Narshing Shrestha, Kupondole
n I would prefer money as money is an important part of our life. From the time we are, we need money in each and every step of our life to fulfil our requirements of food, clothes, education and much more. If we have sufficient money to do anything we desire, we can save our valuable time.
— Maheshwor Sapkota
n It depends upon the situation — to choose between money and time. And it is definitely a difficult task. Money has got a strong power and is the basic necessity in anyone’s life. Having money decides the standard of living of an individual. The more money we have the more conveniently our life is spent. If a person is dying of some disease, like kidney failure then it is only money that can play a role in replacing it with another. We know that time is precious and making money is much easier if we have more time. Money and time both can be saved and spent and between these two, the situation decides which one to opt for. But mostly, between these two, I believe choosing money would be effective in most cases.
— Anamol Rajbhandari, Buddhanagar
n We all have to run after time whether it is tough or easy. Time is the most precious and the strongest thing in the world. If someone can run after time and utilise it properly, obviously money starts to chase him. If a single second is not utilised, it will be lost forever. No one can salivate it and will only have to regret for it. In any profession, money is only the by-product of diligent work and utilisation of right time. Money can be earned, used and controlled as per our will but no one can challenge time. Every second and millisecond is therefore precious.
— Hareram Pradhan, Satdobato
n I would choose time as the most precious thing. The reason being, time when spent with loved and dear ones becomes a memory, when spent with friends becomes lively, when spent at work becomes hard work and experience. But money is like sand in the palm, no one knows when it will blow away.
— Supriya, Dillibazar
n The most precious thing in people’s life is time. Once time is gone, it will not come back again. We cannot buy time but we can use time in a proper way to gain money. We can buy other things from money but we cannot buy time with
money. In English there is a saying that “time and tide wait for no man”. This sentence shows the importance of time.
— Angad Khanal
n If I had to choose one amongst the two, it would be time. I believe, time can offer me more. Money is something that is never enough. The more you get, the more you want. But even if you are the richest person in the world, you can never buy time with your money. But if you are blessed with enough time, you have opportunity to earn money, and perhaps also be the richest person.
— Avishek K Karky
n I would like to choose time rather than money because time is more powerful than money. It is said that time and tide waits for none. If you lose money it may come back again but if you lose time, you will be lost forever. A student may fail if he doesn’t care about time properly, a patient may die if a doctor does not provide medicine on time. Similarly, the entire world can be saved if the hands which are going to press the button of nuclear weapons are stopped on time. Though money is something which is used to buy goods and other essential things but money is not everything. We can say that if money is lost, nothing is lost but if time is lost everything thing is lost.
— Thaneshwar Kunwar
n I would prefer time as compared to money. I think almost all the people of this world agree with the fact that time is something that is transcendent. First the world exists in space and time. It can never be compared with money. Yet we cannot leave out the matter of money in cold particularly in this modern world. But it is just foolish to keep time and money on the same scale. Time is a key to make money. We can merely take an allusion of a tale where a greedy man starts running at sunrise to sunset and tries to cover much more property but finally has to die. For him what then is the value of that pelf? Besides, have you ever heard a billionaire who is ultimately on the verge of death being able to save his life by expending money? Neither Kuber did in the past nor will Bill Gates do in the future. How important even a single second is can be known from him who
has hardly escaped an accident. Time can give us not only money but fame, title and immortality if we can utilise it.
— Gyan Bahadur
Khadka, Vice-principal, New Vision Academy
n Time and money play the most precious and valuable role in human life, yet no one can defeat time. This world is making its fence along with the flow of time. Time can alter everything. Rich can become poor and poor can become rich just in just a couple of seconds. Time can avert mishaps or make it occur; it can come along with lots of friendly people sometimes and sometimes all around with foes; it makes everything work sometimes or can make the same work to no avail; it can heal the wound or make it even worse, everything is in the fist of time. Time can bring money but money cannot bring back the time, time once swept away cannot be brought back but money can find its place over and over again if time gives them the opportunity.
— Amrita Nepal
n Time is an important factor in everybody’s life. It plays a vital role in our career. I would choose time as compared to money because we can easily get money by working hard but we cannot buy time. Time is priceless and it never waits for anyone. Time that we get should be properly utilised and with the help of time we can easily get money. Our life will be a success if we try to use our time in a productive way.
— Aashutosh Aryal
n I would definitely choose time. The value of time is undoubtedly incredible. It is something you cannot regain once it slips from your hands. Though lost money is hard to recover, it is not impossible. But it is impossible to get back that point of time that has slipped away from your hand. Therefore, one must be very careful about spending it. When you have time you can utilise it for any purpose either to earn money or have fun.
