TOPICS: My dream

Many youths may have new vision and dreams for transformation of the nation.

My dream project is cow urine derived formulation. Cow urine has a unique place in Ayurveda and has been described in ‘Sushrita Samhita’ and ‘Ashtanga Sangraha’ to be the most effective substance/secretion of animal origin with innumerable therapeutic values.

It has been recognized as water of life or “Amrita” , the nectar of God. In India and Nepal, drinking of cow urine has been practiced for thousands of years.

It is an important ingredient of Panchgavya, a term used to describe five major substances (urine, milk, ghee, curd and dung) obtained from cows.

All the five products possess medicinal properties, and are used singly or in combination with some other herbs against many diseases, even those not curable by allopathic treatments.

Recently the cow urine has been granted US Patents (No. 6896907 and 6,410,059) for its medicinal properties, particularly for its use along with antibiotics for the control of bacterial infection and fight against cancers.

I carried out primary research on cow urine. For this I collected cow urine from various tropical zones of Nepal like Mustang, Marfa, Shyangja, Jajarkot, Palpa, Butwal and Dhangadhi.

The fresh cow urine was tested for antioxident and antibacterial activity.

The upper region urine shows better activity. Now I want to carry out further research on it and to develop a formulation that can be used for agricultural use, medicinal value to treat disease of humans and animals as well as for antiseptic and disinfectant purposes.

For this I want to establish four cow farms in Nepal that will represent Himal, Pahad and Terai geographical regions of Nepal. The dung of cows could be used as a fertilizer.

The cow urine from different regions would be collected and the extract of various medicinal value herbs like Neem, Tulsi, Yarsagumba and many more as per need are mixed, and the water from the base of Mount Everest and other high mountains and all main river water would be collected for brand promotion purposes.

Through this, the Vedic philosophy of cow urine use and its potent value will be represented clearly. This would make the ecosystem balanced, use of chemical fertilizer would be decreased and many jobs created.

The country would be able to export milk products, promote GDP, and health without any side effect.
