KATHMANDU, MAY 04

Staffers at Thamel-based Hotel Timber House in Kathmandu make arrangements to accommodate COVID-19 patients in cooperation with the government to provide safe isolation facilities for Nepali as well as foreign nationals on Tuesday.

Owing to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic that has taken a toll on the fragile health system of the country, overwhelming hospitals and isolation facilities, the Health Ministry earlier had stated that it would not be possible to provide beds to COVID-19 patients if cases continue to spike at the current rate.
