KATHMANDU, JANUARY 21

A wild elephant, named Ronaldo in homage to soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, strolls through the forest towards the elephant breeding center area for mating in Chitwan, Nepal on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

According to Yam Mahato, a nature guide, Ronaldo has been implicated in the deaths of more than 15 people in the Sauraha area, a municipality in the Chitwan District. Locals bestowed the name Ronaldo upon him due to his prolific success in mating with other female elephants.

Meanwhile, people on a boat look on towards crocodiles basking in the sun to heat up during the winter season along the banks of the Rapti River in Chitwan, Nepal on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
