A hazy view of the Kathmandu Valley seen from the Boudha area in the capital on Friday. Air pollution has increased due to dust, vehicle emissions, construction activities, and smoke from burning waste. As a result, the sky appears white-gray and hazy instead of clear blue, and Kathmandu is at times ranked among the most polluted cities in the world.
