KATHMANDU, AUGUST 26

A view of suspension bridge at Pelma, located in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality-2 of Eastern Rukum. It has been constructed over a river that is flows between cliffs.

This 338-meter-long bridge connects the Pelma area of Putha Uttarganga-2 with nearly half a dozen settlements, including Tatopani, Him, and Guibang.

The bridge was built at a cost of over Rs 3 crores. With the construction of this bridge, local travel has become shorter, and the necessity of risking lives by traveling on cliffside paths has been eliminated.

This bridge is also part of the Dhorpatan-Dolpa tourist trekking route.
