Cadres of Youth Congress Nepal are arrested by the Police in front of the Federal Parliament during a protest against the re-aapointment of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma in Kathmandu on Monday.
Janardan Sharma had resigned following allegations of tweaking tax rates a day before presenting the budget in the parliament earlier.
The finance ministry had refused to provide CCTV footage when the meeting was happening of taxation with a view to benefiting certain business groups. The president's office after an internal investigation found no evidence to substantiate the claims of Minister Sharma's involvement in making illegal changes to the budget.
Following the clarification of Sharma's name, he has been reinstated as the Finance Minister.
