Nepal suffered 2-0 defeat to Jordan in their opening match of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers in Kuwait on Wednesday.
In the first half, Nepal and Jordan played goal less draw at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. Jordan netted two goals in second half to secure a comfortable win against the Himalayan nation.
Nepal's keeper Deep Karki had saved penalty kick of Jordan striker Mausa Mohammad Suleman in the first half to keep the opponent at bay.
Jordan scored two second halves goals in the 69th and 82nd minutes of the match. Nepal take on Kuwait on Saturday.
