ANFA electing new executive committee today

KATHMANDU: The 16th general assembly of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) that began here this morning would elect a new executive committee by this evening.

The general assembly will elect a President, four Vice-presidents and 11 members. A total of 29 people including two for the post of President, nine for Vice-presidents and 29 for members are vying in the election. The Association has a total of 77 voters representing the district football associations in the 77 districts.

Inaugurating the assembly, Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Biswakarma acknowledged that the country has not been able to make sufficient investment in the sports sector and pledged to do as much as possible on behalf of the ministry.
