ANFA nominates eight more officials

LALITPUR:Eight officials were drafted into the newly elected All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) executive committee here today.

With the addition of the eight office-bearers, the number of ANFA executive committee has gone up to 39. The annual general assembly of the ANFA on Monday had unanimously elected 31 office-bearers — President, eight Vice Presidents and 22 members.

As proposed by the newly elected President Ganesh Thapa, the first ANFA meeting endorsed Dhirendra Pradhan, Indra Man Tuladhar and Birat Jung Shah as General Secretary, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Treasurer of the ANFA executive committee respectively.

In addition to endorsing Thapa’s proposal, the meeting has also

nominated three assistant general secretaries Suresh Prasad Ligal, Diwakar Ghale and Deepak Lamshal, and one each assistant treasurer (Robindra Joshi) and assistant CEO (Rajendra Neupane)

Likewise, ANFA Vice President Lalit Krishna Shrestha retained the responsibility of an ANFA spokesperson. The meeting also decided to form a seven-member Secretariat Management Committee under Lalit Krishna.

President Thapa has been entrusted to nominate members for an Emergency Committee. The committee will take shape in the next ANFA meeting. Meanwhile, former national player Mani Bikram Shah was nominated as the honourary ANFA Vice President on Monday.
