Mathema advances

Nepal's Anne Mathema advanced to the girls' singles pre-quarters of the Nepal ITF Juniors U-18 Circuit-I Tournament here at the Satdobato Tennis Complex today.
Mathema beat India's Charitha Patlolla 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to make it to the last 16. Similarly, India's Sana Khanna beat Japan's Ayumi Hama 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 and her teammate Archita Mahalwal saw off Nepal's Catherine Mathema 6-3, 6-1.
Japan's Kanon Yasumoto outplayed India's Sanya Singh 6-4, 6-3 and USA's Rutuja Chaphalkar recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win over Raina Zaffar of India.
In boys' section, Chinese Taipei's Chia-Fan Tsao beat India's Tejasvi R Mehra 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and his teammate Kai Shiang Yang saw off India's Rudra Kapoor 6-2, 7-6 (3). China's Guanglin Wen registered a 6-4, 6-0 win against India's Bhupendra Dahiya and Pakistan's Muhammad Nauman Aftab beat Canada's Ghouse Faisal 6-0, 6-0 to make it to the last 16.
In girls' doubles section, Nepali duo Mahika Rana and Mayanka Rana saw off Skia Kung of Chinese Taipei and Manami Ukita of Japan 6-7 (0), 6-0 (10-8), while Prakriti Shrestha of Nepal teamed up with India's Srinidhi Sridhar to beat Gauri Agrawal of India and Ma Carmencita Isabela Carlos of the Philippines 6-3, 1-6, 11-9. Also, Nepal's Prerana Koirala and USA's Rutuja Chaphalkar recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win over Nepali duo of Abhilasha Bista and Ira Rawat to advance to the quarter-finals.
