Anniversary marks

KATHMANDU: Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) marked its 20th anniversary here on Sunday.

President Ajay Phuyal extended best wishes to all sports journalists and said the NSJF would remain a strong body for ever.

He also said the much-awaited Pulsar Sports Award would be held in near future. “We were forced to postpone the award programme because of the devastating earthquake.

But we are committed to organise the Award and we will announce the date as soon as we get green signal from our sponsors,” he said. IPP Niranjan Rajbanshi said the challenge ahead was to save the credibility of sports journalism and all the members of NSJF were equally responsible for that.

National Sports Council’s press advisor Rohit Dahal said NSC was ready to coordinate with the NSJF and help in its training programme to strengthen sports journalists across the country.

NSJF Secretary Prakash Timalsina, NSJF Banke Coordination Committee President Jay Narayan Shah, Managing Director of RJ Sports Janak Neupane extended wishes.
