APF, Milan set final date

Nepal APF Club and Milan Cricket Academy advanced to the final of the Women’s T20 Cricket League here at Ratnanagar grounds in Chitwan today.

APF defeated hosts Rising Cricket for Women by eight wickets for their third win of the competition,

while Milan outplayed All India Women’s T20 Cricket Association by seven wickets to win two matches out of three. Nepal APF finished as leaders and Milan were runners-up in the standing.

In the day’s match, Rising Cricket for Women posted 126-4 in their allotted 20 overs before APF completed the target in 17 overs for the loss of two wickets.

RCW posted a fighting total after they opted to bat first. Mamta Chaudhary scored 28 runs, while Laxmi Chaudhary and Suman Khatiwada added 26 runs each.

In reply, APF achieved the target riding on Sita Rana Magar’s 48-ball 51 hitting four boundaries, while Karuna Bhandari added 32 off 26 balls.

Similarly, All India scored 99-9 before Milan chased the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of three wickets.

All India’s Sonya and Sunita scored 27 runs each, while Milan won the match after Nery Thapa top scored with a quick fire 37 off 19 balls hitting eight boundaries. Rubina Chhetri added 23 runs in 26 balls that included four boundaries.
