Pokhara, April 21

Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) advanced to the final of the fifth Manakaman Cable Car Pokhara Cup Football Tournament here on Thursday.

In the match played at the Pokhara Stadium, TAC edged past Dharan Football Club 1-0. Nawayug Shrestha scored the winning goal for TAC in the 49th minute.

Shrestha utilised a pass from Biswas Adhikari to book their place in the final. Padam Tamang of TAC received the man-of-the-match trophy.

TAC will take on Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club in the final on Saturday. Winners will be awarded with Rs 555,555, while the runners-up will receive Rs 255,555.

The best player of the tournament will walk away with a motorcycle, while the best positional players  goalkeeper, defender, mid-fielder and forward  and coach of the tournament will receive Rs 15,000 each.
