KATHMANDU: With the slogan of ‘Farewell to the Friends,’ the third Indoor Asian Games concluded today at the Mae Din Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The closing ceremony was marked by the demonstration of culture, custom and tradition of Vietnam.

China won 48 gold, 25 silver and 19 bronze medals to finish first in the medal tally. The hosts collected 42 gold, 30 silver and 22 bronze to finish second while Kazakhstan ended third winning 21 gold, 16 silver and 21 bronze medals.

Nepal return empty handed after failing to impress in any of the five events they participated. Nepal participated in boxing, archery, snooker, chess and basketball. The biggest achievement for Nepal in the Games was the historical win of Nepal basketball team on three-on-three match against Qatar.
