Aussies await briefing

SYDNEY: Australian players involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) will have a security briefing with Australian Cricketers’ Association chief executive Paul Marsh on Tuesday. The security situation in India has worsened this month with a terrorist attack in Pune killing nine people and an al-Qaeda-linked group purportedly issuing a threat over the World Cup hockey tournament, the IPL and Commonwealth Games. The IPL, an Indian Twenty20 tournament, is scheduled to run from March 12 to April 25.
