Australia triumph

Australia marked its national holiday with a crushing nine-wicket win over England on Friday which left it unbeaten after five matches in cricket’s limited-overs tri-series. Fast bowler Mitchell Johnson took four wickets as Australia bowled out England for 110 in 34.3 overs after it had won the toss and batted.
Captain Ricky Ponting reached 51 and Matthew Hayden a painstaking 30 in an unbroken 79-run partnership which guided Australia to its winning target in only 24.3 overs. Johnson took 4-45 in a man-of-the-match performance. Hogg took 2-16 and Brett Lee two for eight.
Ian Bell top-scored with 35 for England whose highest partnership accrued only 32 runs. His effort was followed by Andrew Strauss (17), Andy Flintoff (16), Ed Joyce (11) and Jamie Dalrymple (10).
