Awards for Asiad medallists

Dabur Nepal today announced the cash awards for the 15th Asian Games taekwondo medallists.

Dabur Nepal announced Rs 100,000 each to the gold medal winners, and Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 each to silver and bronze medallists respectively.

“In keeping with our long-standing tradition of promoting and providing support to Nepali sports, the company has announced cash awards for the taekwondo players siccessful in winning medals at the 15th Asian Games,” said Dabur Nepal in a release.

Three-time South Asian Games gold medallist Deepak Bista and 10th SAG gold medallist Manita Shahi are among the 10 players who are taking part in the Asiad. Other players are 10th SAG silver medallists Padma Gurung and Ayesha Shakya, Yan Kumari Chaulagain and Abina Rai in women’s section and 10th SAG silver medallist Kumar Manandhar, Yam Bahadur Pun, Sanjeeb Pradhan and Ramesh Kumar Shrestha in the men’s section.

“The company hopes such incentives will encourage our national taekwondo team to perform even better,” the release added.
