KATHMANDU: Baba started the 12th Women’s and 13th Men’s National Basketball Tournament with a win here on Sunday. Baba thrashed KEC 63-37 riding on 16 points from Anish Magar. Baba trailed 4-10 in the first quarter before bouncing back to win the remaining three quarters by healthy margin — 26-10, 19-5, and 14-12. In women’s section, Prime Club thumped Morgan Club 48-19. Luniva Singh of Prime top scored in the match with 19 points. Prime dominated all periods 15-7, 11-2, 12-2, 10-8 to win the match easily.
