Kathmandu, June 15:

Bagmati Zone won the Team Championship of the fourth General Choi Memorial National Taekwondo Tournament with 10 gold, 12 silver and four bronze medals here today.

Narayani zone came second with eight gold, three silver and two bronze medals. Chauchi Dangol and Nirmala Magar in senior and Rabin Thapa Magar and Puja Giri in junior section were declared the best players of the two-day tournament organised by Nepal International Taekwondo Federation (Nepal ITF).

On Sunday, Shiva Kumar Khatiwada (20-25kg), Toran Bhandari (25-30), Sitaram Chaudhary (30-35), Rabin Rai (35-40), Bikash KC (40-45), Sunil Basnet (45-50), Chauchi Dangol (50-55), Niroj Rana Magar (55-60), Manoj Chaudhary (60-65), and Hem Raj Thapa (65-70) won gold medals in men’s section.

In women’s section, Dikshya Khadka (20-25), Sushma KC (25-30), Puja Giri (30-35), Aasma Shrestha (35-40),

Tulasa Thapa (40-45), Arati Raut (45-50), and Nirmala Gurung (50-55) bagged gold medals.

Nepal ITF President Krishna Bahadur Balal and vice president Kumar Thapa among others gave away medals and certificates to the winners.
