Baidhya appointed
KATHMANDU: National Sports Council has appointed taekwondo ace Sangina Baidhya as the assistant chief coach. Training and Coaching Department chief Nabin Upreti handed over the letter to Olympian Baidhya on Thursday, at a time when Nepal is preparing for the 12th South Asian Games and 31st Olympics Games. “I have taken it as a new responsibility and I will not leave any stone unturned from my side,” said Baidhya after receiving the letter. Baidhya is the first Nepali player to qualify for Olympics when she earned the berth for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
