Kathmandu, January 12:

Bikarna Shrestha scored six goals as Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) crushed Brigade Boys Club (BBC) 10-0, while Saraswoti Youth Club defeated Boys Union Club 1-0 at the Martyrs Memorial San Miguel ‘A’ Division Football League here at the Dasharath Stadium today.

The TAC lead the standing with 44 points from 16 matches, while Mahendra Police Club are second with 38 from 15 matches. The win put Saraswoti in the 12th position with nine points, pushing BBC (8) to last place. BUC are 11th with 12 points.

Bikarna became the first player to score a double hat-trick in the current league. This was his fourth hat-trick of the tournament and took his personal tally to 24 goals. The other three hat-tricks are in the name of Anil Gurung of MMC.

Raju Tamang put TAC ahead in the 14th minute through a spot kick, while Bikarna doubled the lead in the 21st minute. He scored his second in the 29th and completed a hat-trick seven minutes later as the Armymen went to break with a 4-0 lead.

Bikarna scored his fourth goal in the 62nd minute, fifth in 81 and completed the double hat-trick in the injury time. He was declared the Adidas man of the match. In between Bikarna’s goal, Santosh Nepali (49), Chakra Tamang (51), and Daimoj Dhimal (60) scored a goal each for the Army Club.

Earlier, last-place Saraswoti defeated BUC 1-0. Amar Pun scored the solitary goal in the 48th minute and earned the Adidas man of the match award.
