BHAKTAPUR: Binayak Shikshya Niketan, Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya and Rambhakta Memorial English School won their matches at the third TVS Cup Inter-school Invitational Football Tournament organised by Madhyapur Youth Association here today.

Binayak defeated Manastik Public School 3-0. Anup Shrestha opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Ashish Prajapati doubled the lead in the 52nd minute. Sagun Shrestha put the issue beyond doubt scoring the team's third goal in the 61st minute.

Also, the defending champions BSAM outplayed the winners of the first edition Bhaktapur English School 8-1. Birendra Sainik took lead in the 16th minute through Anup Subedi's goal. Ron Rai made it 2-0 three minutes later, while Roshan Rai scored in the 39th, 55th and 62nd minutes to complete the hat-trick. Nirajan Pudasaini struck in the 38th and 51st minutes and Ujjwal Tiwari netted a goal in the 58th minute for the winners. Rajeev Rajbahak replied for Bhaktapur.

In the third match, Rambhakta School beat Rose Bud English School 3-0. Jackson Napit became the second player to struck a hat-trick of the day and the tournament when he scored in the 18th, 60th and 67th minutes. Ashish Prajapati of Binayak, Roshan Rai of BSAM and Jackson Napit of Rambhakta won the man of the match awards.
