Body builders set for Asian meet

Kathmandu: A six-member Nepali bodybuilding team is on Tuesday leaving for Thailand to participate in the 11th Asian Body Building Championship slated for August 11-17. Gyan Narayan Maharjan and Dayaram Diwakar will represent Nepal in the tournament to be held in Pataya. Maharjan will compete in the 50kg and Diwakar in the 55kg weight category. Both the weightlifters won bronze medals in the sixth South Asian Body Building Championships held this April in Banaras. President of Nepal Body Building and Fitness Association Rajesh Babu Shrestha (team leader) Bijay Lal Kayastha (manager), Gyanendra Nakarmi (coach) and Dinesh Shrestha (referee) will also accompany the team.
