LALITPUR: Kushum Tamang of Naxal got selected for the ABC Youth Boxing Championship slated for April 19-28 in Thailand.

Tamang earned the tickets to Thailand as she was the lone participant in the women’s 57kg weight category in the selection tournament organised by Nepal Boxing Association on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Surendra Rai of Jhapa and Sandeep Khatiwada of Makwanpur advanced to the men’s 56kg weight category final.

Khatiwada defeated Amar Gurung of Naxal, while Rai beat Arun Lama of Naxal. The winner of the match will qualify for the Thailand event.
