Morang in final

LALITPUR: Morang and Panchthar will clash for title after winning their semi-final match in the ANFA-Mayos Inter-school Girls’ Football Tournament today. Morang beat Dhankuta 1-0 on a 50th minute goal from Dipa Adhikari while Panchthar edged past Bara 1-0. Dipa Thapa scored the winner in the 69th minute for Panchthar. The final is scheduled for Friday at the same venue. — HNS

Tennis tourney

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association president Manoj Rana and the National Sports Council member Raju Dangol bade farewell to the eight-member tennis team today. Three boys — Gaurav Shah, Diwakar Ojha, Ali Akram Mikarani— and three girls — Srija Karki, Kencho Palden, Sagun Thapa — will compete in the U-14 Asian Tennis Championship slated for January 26 to February 6 in Islamabad. Coach Ishwor Rai and manager Ali Akhtar Mikarani will accompany the players. — HNS
