CCRC, Times in final

Kathmandu, January 30:

Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) and Times International College set dates for championship clash on Thursday after winning their respective semi-final match at the National Campus Twenty20 Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today. CCRC defeated Classic College by five wickets and Times beat the organising National Campus by 37 runs today.

Batting first, Classic were all out for 90 runs with two balls to spare and CCRC overcame the total for the loss of five wickets in 17.1 overs. Binod Bhandari top-scored with 23 and Beeraj Pant made 15 for Classic. Man of the match Suraj Timalsina took 3-11 and Rupesh Shrivastav 3-18 for CCRC. In reply, Pawan Das scored unbeaten 12 and Ajay Rajbanshi 21 for CCRC. Pradeep Airee and Kuldeep Khadka took two wickets apiece for Classic.

In the second semi-finals, Times scored 120-9 in the 14-over match and restricted National to 83-9. Sanjay Shrestha scored quickfire 36 off 23 balls and Vijay Thapa 31 from 15 balls for Times. Sandeep Shrestha (4-10) and Kushal Ghale (4-16) claimed four wickets each for National.

For National Campus, Prakash Pariyar contributed the highest 17 runs while Ashish Byanjankar made 14 and Sandeep Shrestha 11 not out. Vijay Thapa followed up his brilliant batting to take 3-13 which earned him the man-of-the-match award. Karun Ojha (2-12) bagged two and Pema Lama (1-12) one wicket.
