Celtic clinch title
GLASGOW: Celtic won the Scottish Premiership on Sunday after a 3-2 win at home to nearest challengers Aberdeen gave the Glasgow giants their fifth successive domestic title. Patrick Roberts scored twice in the first half at Parkhead before Mikael Lusting made it 3-0 early in the second half. But the Dons fought back courtesy of two goals in seven minutes from Niall McGinn and Andrew Considine, with even a draw good enough to have given Celtic the title. Victory left the Hoops an unassailable 12 points in front of the Dons. Sunday’s success meant Glasgow giants Celtic had won five Scottish championships in a row for only the third time in their 138-year-history.
