Chabahil skipper Susan Lama was named the man of the match. With the title, Chabahil received Rs 200,000, while Banepa got Rs 100,000.
Steven Bajda of Banepa was declared the best player of the tournament, while his teammate Bishal Sanawal was named the best goalkeeper. Likewise, Chabahil’s Som Thapa and Gyaljen Sherpa won the highest scorer and best coach awards respectively.
They earned Rs 10,000 each. A total of 36 teams took part in the tournament organised by Banepa Boys Club under the sponsorship of Chaudhary Group. Former Minister Kamala Pant, BBC President Mahesh Kumar Karmacharya and tournament coordinator Mani Kumar Tumrok handed over the prizes to the winners. Meanwhile, the organisers felicitated former General Secretary of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Prakash Timalsina for his contribution in sports.
