Citizens Bank Open Tennis

KATHMANDU: The fourth Citizens Bank Open Tennis Tournament is beginning here at the Dasharath Stadium courts from April 24. Around 150 players are expected to take part in the tournament that features events in men’s and women’s singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles along with singles and doubles in various age groups, informed Kathmandu District Lawn Tennis Association president Manohar Das Mool. Out of the total cash purse of Rs 250,000, top two players in men and women singles will receive Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively, while the losing semi-finalists will get Rs 5,000 each. Likewise, winners in doubles categories will earn Rs 15,000 apiece.
