Classic enter semis

Kathmandu, February 8:

Classic International College (CIC) advanced to the semi-finals of the Wai Wai fourth KCC Inter-college Cricket Running Trophy after a 45-run win over National Institute of Health and Science (NIHS).

Put into bat first, the CIC managed 92/9 in 20 overs and then packed NIHS for 47 runs. Naresh Budhayer top-scored with 17-ball 19 that included four fours while Yogendra Khadka (17) and Ram Nepal (13) contributed valuable runs for CIC.

Subhash Yogi and Radhe Shyam Bhattarai claimed two wickets each for NIHS.

In reply, NIHS skittled out for 47 runs in 11.2 overs. Rajesh Yadav fought a lonely battle for NIHS with unbeaten 28 off 22 balls including five fours. Lokesh Bhatta stood the second best scorer with six runs.

Man of the match Sagun Manandhar of CIC finished with 3-15 in his three-over spell while Pushker Rawat, Naresh Budhayer and Yogendra Khadka took two wickets each.
