Coaches’ training begins

The AFC ‘C’ License Coaching Course under the auspices of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in association with Asian Football Confederation (AFC), began here at ANFA Complex today. In all, 42 participants including four women, are taking part in the course which is being conducted by V Subramanium, who holds the ‘A’ grade coaching licence. “The course would be help the coaches in finding new talents in football,” said Subramanium. He also praised the performance of the Nepali U-13 squad, who played brilliantly in Bangladesh.

Citing the failure of Mrigendra Mishra and Pushpa KC at the similar course in Bangladesh, ANFA president Ganesh Thapa said that the course was not at all an easy task. He also said that organising such courses was important for the betterment of the sport. Thapa also informed that 16 out of 38 district football associations have held their elections. Earlier, NSC member secretary Kishor Bahadur Singh inaugurated the event by handing over the ball to former national skipper Upendra Man Singh, who is also attending the course that runs through August 6.
