Corporate Cricket from Thursday

Nepal Sports Management Pvt Ltd is all set to organise the Coca-Cola Indoor Corporate Cricket Tournament at Velocity Arena from Thursday.
A total of 12 teams will participate in the tournament that will conclude on September 11, informed Tournament Coordinator Dipesh Sharma at a press meet today. The participating teams have been divided into four groups with top two teams from each group securing berths in the last eight of the tournament to be played under league-cum-knockout format.
Yeti Airlines, Bottlers Nepal Ltd and NCC Bank are pitted in Group A, while Sipradi Trading, Himalayan Distillery and Premier Insurance are in Group B. Likewise, Gorkha Brewery, Hansraj Hulaschand and Company Pvt Ltd and Samriddhi Foundation are drawn in Group C, while Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, Kantipur Media Group and F1Soft Pvt Ltd are in Group D. The organisers have set Rs 45,0000 as the registration fee.
“The winners will be awarded with a Silver Trophy as we want to make an experiment in Nepali cricket,” said Sharma, who informed the budget of the event was Rs 1.2 million. Bottlers Nepal Ltd is the title sponsor of the tournament. “We have overwhelming cricket craze in the country and the brand wants to promote the sport,” said Bottlers Nepal’s Deputy Channel Manager Pringa Shrestha.
