KATHMANDU: The National Sports Council formed a five-member Ninth National Games Running Trophy Tour Committee headed by Olympian Deepak Bista.
President of Nepal National and International Players Association Deepak Shrestha, former national cricket team skipper Paras Khadka, national women's volleyball team captain Aruna Shahi and ultra marathon runner Mira Rai are the members in the committee.
"Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will unveil the running trophy in Kathmandu on September 16 and we will take the trophy to all seven provinces and three departmental teams," said Bista, who is also the President of Nepal Olympians Association.
The trophy tour will begin from Sudurpashchim Province and end in Gandaki, the hosts of the National Games slated for October 14-20.
