LALITPUR: Sajin Maharjan, Himal Lama, Sumit Panta and Suman Rai advanced to the knock out stage of the Cooperative Cup Chess Tournament here on Tuesday. Maharjan topped the league round table with six points after he defeated Badrilal Nepali and Lama in the sixth and seventh rounds respectively. Lama played a draw with Panta in the sixth round, while the latter shared points with Keshav Shrestha in the seventh round. Likewise, Rai drew his matches against Rijendra Rajbhandari and Kshitiz Bhandari to advance to the second round.
