Coordination Council team wins bowling championship

Kathmandu, November 11:

Coordination Council team won the Nepal-Japan Golden Jubilee Bowling Championship organised by Coordination Council for Golden Jubilee Celebration of Nepal-Japan Diplomatic Relations.

The organisers’ team of professional bowler duo Nilendra Mali and Bijay Shahi and Bishnu Gopal Shrestha, president of the council, scored 1199 pinfalls in three games to capture the championship ahead of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) and Embassy of America. The NSJF team of Mahesh Acharya of The Himalayan Times, Purushottam Kattel of The Kathmandu Post and Srilochan Rajopadhyay of Himalaya Times scored 1157 pinfalls, while the US Embassy team earned 1089 pinfalls.

Charu Shrestha of Nepal Samacharpatra won the best player’s award while another lady participant Kenny Webb of the American Embassy was named the best female player of the event.
